WHO I AM AND WHAT I DO
My Background
I’ve been a professional Massage Therapist since 2011. I find it amazing that I've been doing bodywork for this long, it surely doesn't seem like it. I guess that means I'm having fun with it. I graduated from Center Point School for Massage & Shiatsu Therapy & Clinic with a diploma for The East West Therapeutic Bodywork Career Training Program. In the program I attended, I learned some fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine, human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, bodywork techniques for at least 5 different styles of bodywork, and so much more. I've been passionate about helping people from the earliest age. One of my earliest memories is rubbing lotion into my aunt's feet. I was also the guy that liked finding the knots in people's back and shoulders far before going to massage school. I think this means I've been doing massage for most of my life then. However it all works out I'm truly passionate about bodywork and am excited to share it with those in need.

After completing my 1st of 2 rounds of student clinic I sought employment at a membership based massage therapy company where I worked for 10 years between 2 locations. The first for 4 years in my home state of Minnesota, and at the 2nd for 6 years in Hawaii. Since August of 2021 I've been self employed and sharing my gift of bodywork. In total I've got about 15,500 hours of hands on experience.

Our session will be tailored to meet your specific needs, and will include a number of different techniques I've learned over the decade plus working in this helping field. Many of my client work normal jobs, the kind that are necessary for everyday life as we know it. Most of them also lead a pretty active lifestyles outside their profession, and call on me to help them with keeping their muscles free from tension and spirits high. Allowing them to keep doing what they enjoy doing and excelling in the areas they wish to exceed.

Get It Worked Out
Massage was what helped guide me to where I am today!
Before working in the bodywork field I was in restaurant management for about 15 years. Plenty of early mornings, long days, and late nights spent on my feet running around. Needless to say I got beat up from work. One of the few things that helps me keep going was my regular massage. I looked forward to seeing my guy every month to get fixed. It was perfect, I went in and told him where my problem areas were and he worked them out. Before I knew it I was feeling less stressed out by the craziness of the restaurant business, I was sleeping better, and almost every part of my life seemed to improve. How fantastic! What I came to recognize was that the chronic pain I experienced was seeping into all of the areas of my life and massage really seemed to help me out.

6 months after receiving my level 1 Reiki Attunement I was ready to make a career change. I looked at number of different options for school and areas of study, yet I kept getting drawn back to massage. At first I wasn't sold on the idea of being a Massage Therapist, but when I finally started doing it, the universe brought me every affirmation and validation in the form of positive comments and praise. That was when I knew I was doing what I was meant to be doing and it was something that I really enjoyed. It allowed me a better work/life balance and the best part is that it doesn't really feel like that nasty 4 letter word "w-o-r-k." I understand now that adage "when you enjoy what you do, work becomes play" means because I feel like that is how my life has seemed to me since making the shift.

Warmest Mahalo for learning a little about me.
